Zidane Awaits French National Team Opportunity, Declines Top Club Offers
Zinedine Zidane, the former Real Madrid head coach and World Cup winner with the French national team, is not planning to return to coaching in the near future.
According to reports, since leaving Real Madrid in 2021, Zidane has received offers from several leading European teams but has declined them all. The 52-year-old coach is reportedly only interested in working with Real Madrid or the French national team.
Sources suggest that Zidane might theoretically be open to participating in a major innovative project, but currently sees no suitable options. The coach also acknowledges that he is unlikely to take charge of Real Madrid or the French national team in the foreseeable future, and doesn’t rule out the possibility of ending his coaching career.
It’s worth noting that some of Zidane’s former staff members at Real Madrid have already taken on independent coaching roles.
Zidane led the Spanish team from 2016 to 2021 (with a break). Under his leadership, Madrid won the Champions League three times in a row, claimed two Spanish league titles, and secured several other trophies.
