Yann Bisseck: Finding His Feet at Inter Milan
Yann Bisseck has quickly become an integral part of Simone Inzaghi’s Inter Milan squad. The young defender, who recently extended his contract until 2029, opened up about his experience with the Italian giants in a candid interview.
“Signing a long-term deal with a prestigious club like Inter is exhilarating,” Bisseck enthused. “It’s a testament to their faith in me, especially considering how well I’ve adapted. While I still have much to learn, I’m on the right track.”
Reflecting on his debut season, Bisseck admitted, “I anticipated less playing time, given my move from Denmark. The first month was about acclimatization. Scoring my first goal felt like a fairytale – it was Christmas Eve, my family was in the stands, and hearing the entire stadium chant my name was indescribable.”
On his relationship with coach Inzaghi, Bisseck revealed, “We communicate frequently. He trusts me to maintain the team’s quality when I’m on the pitch, which is immensely gratifying.”
The defender also touched on Inter’s recent Scudetto triumph: “The derby stands out, though it’s a bit of a blur. The significance of the second star is beyond words – it’s an unforgettable moment.”
Regarding life in Milan, Bisseck shared, “It’s a vibrant city with endless possibilities, a stark contrast to the smaller towns I’m used to. I’m thoroughly enjoying it, although the rental prices could be more reasonable!”
Looking ahead, Bisseck set ambitious targets: “We’re aiming for a clean sweep, starting with the Supercoppa. Personally, I want more playing time and hope to earn a national team call-up for the match against Italy at San Siro in March.”
On his competitive spirit, Bisseck concluded, “I despise losing more than I love winning. Defeat feels like a part of you dies. Winning is great, but losing truly infuriates me. Ultimately, though, we play to win, not just to avoid losing.”
