Willian Jose Plans to Stay at Spartak Moscow
Spartak Moscow striker Willian Jose has no intentions of leaving the club this winter, according to reports. This comes despite recent speculation about a potential transfer to Spanish side Las Palmas.
The 33-year-old Brazilian joined Spartak from Real Betis in July 2024 on a two-year contract. So far this season, he has made 13 appearances for Spartak across all competitions, scoring one goal.
Jose’s commitment to Spartak contradicts earlier reports that suggested he was close to a €1.5 million move to Las Palmas. The Spanish club currently sits 14th in La Liga with 19 points after 17 matches.
Spartak will likely be pleased to retain Jose’s services as they look to improve their standing in the Russian Premier League when play resumes after the winter break. The experienced striker provides important depth in attack for the Moscow club.
