Weston McKennie’s Charity Foundation Launches First Italian Event
Juventus and US national team midfielder Weston McKennie’s charitable organization, Magical Youth Mission, hosted its first event in Italy on Friday, December 20th. The foundation, dedicated to empowering disadvantaged youth through mentorship, education, and increased access to football, organized a Christmas celebration in Turin in collaboration with Salesiani per il sociale.
The event provided holiday gifts to 100 underprivileged children, aiming to inspire the next generation to dream big by creating opportunities for growth and joy. McKennie’s foundation strives to make a positive impact on young lives through various initiatives.
During the event, McKennie spoke to reporters about his experience at Juventus. He expressed his happiness living in Turin and his desire to remain with the club for as long as possible, though he acknowledged that his future also depends on the club’s decisions. McKennie reflected on the initial doubts about his ability to succeed at a club of Juventus’ stature, stating, “When I first arrived, I was told Juventus would be too big for me, but I do everything I can to change people’s minds.”
This charitable initiative demonstrates McKennie’s commitment to giving back to the community and using his platform as a professional footballer to make a difference in the lives of young people.
