Vinicius Sparks Controversy with Gesture to Rayo Vallecano Fans

Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior found himself at the center of controversy following the La Liga match against Rayo Vallecano, which ended in a 3-3 draw.

According to reports, as the player was heading towards the stadium tunnel after the game, he encountered jeers from opposing team supporters. In response, Vinicius made a provocative gesture, showing two fingers and moving his hand downwards, while saying “To Segunda.”

This action sparked outrage on social media among Rayo fans, who labeled the Real Madrid player’s behavior as unsportsmanlike and disrespectful.

Rayo Vallecano’s president, Raul Martin Presa, also commented on the incident: “Vinicius’ attitude is inappropriate because he’s essentially telling fans of clubs like Rayo to ‘go down to the second division,’ while for us, staying in the top flight means survival at all levels.”

Rayo Vallecano currently sits in 13th place in the La Liga table with 20 points from 16 matches.
