Union Berlin Dismisses Head Coach Bo Svensson and Entire Coaching Staff
Union Berlin has officially announced the termination of their contract with head coach Bo Svensson, as reported by the Berlin club’s press service. The 45-year-old Danish manager had only taken charge of the team at the beginning of this season.
Horst Heldt, the club’s executive director, stated, “After carefully analyzing the situation, we concluded that the team requires significant changes. Therefore, we decided to end our collaboration with Bo Svensson, Babak Keyhanfar, Christoffer Wichmann, and Tidiane Ndiaye. We express our gratitude to Svensson and his team for their efforts and wish them all the best in their future endeavors.”
The club has indicated that a decision regarding Svensson’s successor will be made in the coming days.
Currently, Union Berlin sits in 12th place in the Bundesliga table with 17 points after 15 rounds. The team has failed to secure a single victory in their last 8 league matches, contributing to the decision to make changes in the coaching staff.
