Top European Clubs Show Interest in Uzbekistan National Team Defender
According to L’Equipe, several prominent European football clubs have set their sights on Abdukodir Khusanov, the 20-year-old defender currently playing for Lens and the Uzbekistan national team.
Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), and Atletico Madrid are reportedly among the top clubs expressing interest in the young talent. Lens is said to be open to negotiations and could potentially part ways with Khusanov during the winter transfer window for a fee of around 30 million euros.
Khusanov joined Lens from the Belarusian club Energetik-BGU in the summer of 2022. This season, he has made 15 appearances across all competitions, though he has yet to record any goals or assists.
The football database Transfermarkt currently values Khusanov at 12 million euros. His contract with Lens is set to run until the summer of 2027, but the growing interest from top European clubs could potentially lead to an earlier move for the promising defender.
