Tassotti Questions Ibrahimovic’s Role in Milan Management

Mauro Tassotti, a former defender and Milan icon, recently shared his thoughts on the club’s current management in an interview with Radio Rai. He particularly focused on Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s new executive role, expressing concerns about the Swedish star’s lack of experience.

“Playing football and managing a club are two entirely different things, especially with such significant responsibilities,” Tassotti remarked. “Ibrahimovic’s exact duties aren’t clearly defined, which adds to the uncertainty.”

Tassotti emphasized the importance of experience in club management, stating, “Ibrahimovic is learning on the job, and it’s likely he’ll make some mistakes along the way. This kind of role typically requires experience that he doesn’t yet possess.”

Drawing parallels to past Milan executives, Tassotti added, “Even respected figures like Galliani and Braida faced criticism when results were poor. Success on the field is crucial for management’s credibility. It’s worth noting that until last year, Milan was playing some excellent football.”

These comments highlight the challenges faced by former players transitioning into management roles and the high expectations at a club of Milan’s stature.
