Spurs Make £37M Bid for “Messi-like” Argentine Wonderkid

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly made a £37 million bid for Brighton & Hove Albion’s 20-year-old Argentine playmaker Facundo Buonanotte, who is currently on loan at Leicester City.

While his output doesn’t quite match James Maddison’s 8 goals and 5 assists in 26 games for Spurs, Buonanotte is playing in a less attack-minded team and is 8 years younger than Maddison.

Former Premier League winner Carlos Tevez has compared Buonanotte to Lionel Messi, saying the youngster “has no ceiling” to his potential. TalkSPORT’s Jack Johnson believes Buonanotte “is going to be a star.”
