Southampton Set to Appoint Juric as New Manager
Former Roma coach Ivan Juric is on the verge of becoming Southampton’s new manager. The Croatian tactician is expected to finalize a deal with the Premier League club today, following his dismissal from Roma in November after just 12 matches in charge.
According to reports, Juric has already terminated his contract with Roma, which was set to run until 2025. This early termination will reportedly save the Italian club approximately €1 million in gross wages.
Juric’s short-lived tenure at Roma came to an end after less than two months. He has since been replaced by Claudio Ranieri, who will oversee the team until the end of the current season. Roma are already planning for the future, with reports suggesting Carlo Ancelotti is the leading candidate to take charge for the 2025-26 season.
Southampton, currently competing in the Championship, will be hoping Juric can guide them back to the Premier League at the first attempt following their relegation last season.
