Salah, Vinicius, and Raphinha Lead the Race for the 2025 Ballon d’Or
The sports website Goal has released an updated ranking of football players who are considered the top contenders for the prestigious Ballon d’Or award in the coming year.
Liverpool’s striker Mohamed Salah currently tops the list, followed closely by Real Madrid’s forward Vinicius Junior in second place. Barcelona’s Raphinha rounds out the top three.
The list continues with Jamal Musiala (Bayern Munich), Robert Lewandowski and Lamine Yamal (both from Barcelona), Kylian Mbappé (Real Madrid), Harry Kane (Bayern Munich), Cole Palmer (Chelsea), and Florian Wirtz (Bayer Leverkusen).
It’s worth noting that Manchester City midfielder Rodri was awarded the 2024 Ballon d’Or, narrowly beating out Vinicius Junior in the voting for the world’s best footballer.
