Roma’s Transfer Strategy: Dybala’s Future and New Coach Search
AS Roma’s sporting director Florent Ghisolfi has addressed speculation surrounding Paulo Dybala’s future at the club and outlined plans for appointing a new head coach. Despite rumors linking Dybala with a move to Galatasaray, Ghisolfi maintains that no official offers have been received for the Argentine forward.
“We’re at the beginning of the transfer window, so there’s naturally a lot of speculation,” Ghisolfi stated. “We recognize Dybala’s importance to the team and his affection for Roma. While we’re open to considering proposals, we haven’t had any concrete discussions with other clubs at this point.”
Regarding the search for a new manager to replace Claudio Ranieri next season, Ghisolfi emphasized the club’s measured approach: “We won’t rush into an announcement, but we also don’t want to delay the decision unnecessarily. Our goal is to make a well-informed choice, considering both Italian and foreign candidates. Familiarity with Serie A will be a key factor in our decision-making process.”
Ghisolfi’s comments come in the wake of Roma’s impressive 4-1 victory over Sampdoria in the Coppa Italia, which secured their place in the quarter-finals. As the club balances immediate on-field success with long-term planning, all eyes will be on how they navigate the January transfer window and the crucial decision of selecting their next manager.
