Romagnoli’s Reflections on Lazio’s Year: “Wonderful Last Six Months, Aiming for Something Important in 2025”

Alessio Romagnoli, Lazio’s central defender, recently shared his thoughts on the team’s performance throughout 2024. Speaking at the club’s Christmas dinner, he reflected on a year of two halves for the team.

The first half of the year presented challenges, including a change in management from Sarri to Tudor and some disappointing results, leading to a seventh-place finish in the league. However, with Baroni’s arrival, the team experienced a resurgence, achieving impressive results and boosting morale across the club.

Romagnoli acknowledged the recent heavy defeat against Inter as a setback but viewed it as a learning experience. Despite this, he remains optimistic about the team’s future prospects.

In his own words, Romagnoli stated: “Overall, 2024 has been a good year. The last six months have been particularly wonderful, while the first half was more challenging due to various circumstances. We’re disappointed about the loss against Inter, as we know we performed poorly. However, we must bounce back quickly. I see significant room for improvement. We have a very strong team; the key is to always strive for better. Now, we need to reset and focus on our next match against Lecce. For the new year, I hope we can achieve more satisfaction and possibly secure something important.”

Romagnoli’s comments reflect a sense of determination and ambition within the Lazio squad as they look to build on their recent positive momentum and aim for greater success in the coming year.
