Real Sociedad’s Zakharyan Expected to Return in the New Year

Gennady Golubin, the representative of Real Sociedad midfielder Arsen Zakharyan, has provided an update on the player’s health status. According to Golubin, Zakharyan has resumed full training with the team, but with only one match remaining in the current year, fans can expect to see him back on the pitch in 2024.

“Arsen is training at full capacity with the main group,” Golubin stated. “We’re looking forward to his return in the new year.”

The 21-year-old Russian international underwent ankle surgery in Barcelona on August 6th. He rejoined team training on October 17th, marking a significant step in his recovery process.

Zakharyan joined Real Sociedad from Dynamo Moscow in the summer of 2022. Since his arrival at the Spanish club, the talented midfielder has made 40 appearances across all competitions, scoring one goal and providing two assists.

As Real Sociedad continues their campaign in La Liga and European competitions, the return of Zakharyan will undoubtedly boost their midfield options in the latter half of the season.
