Ranieri: Dybala Content at Roma, Transfer Rumors Dismissed
Paulo Dybala made a significant impact for Roma, scoring his first goals under Claudio Ranieri’s management in a commanding 5-0 victory over Parma. This performance came amidst renewed speculation about the Argentine forward’s future at the club.
Ranieri, the former Leicester City manager, emphasized Dybala’s crucial role in the team. He stated that Roma performs differently with Dybala on the field and suggested that while the player’s agents may be promoting him, Dybala himself is satisfied at the Stadio Olimpico.
“We must understand the role of agents,” Ranieri explained to reporters after the match. “They travel globally to promote their clients. However, we’ve received no transfer requests. I know Dybala wants to stay. He’s content here, and we’re pleased with him.”
Dybala opened the scoring against Parma with a penalty in the early stages of the game and later added a third goal for Roma before halftime, bringing his Serie A goal tally for the season to four.
Despite ongoing transfer speculation as the January window approaches, Dybala could be close to triggering an automatic contract extension due to a clause in his current agreement with Roma.
