Ranieri Addresses Speculation on Dybala’s Roma Future
Roma manager Claudio Ranieri has addressed rumors surrounding Paulo Dybala’s potential departure from the club in January. While expressing his happiness with the player, Ranieri left the door open for a possible transfer if Dybala’s priorities shift.
Recent reports have linked Dybala with a lucrative offer from Turkish side Galatasaray, who are seeking a replacement for the injured Mauro Icardi. Dybala’s representative reportedly met with Galatasaray officials earlier this week.
Speaking to SportMediaset ahead of Roma’s Coppa Italia match against Sampdoria, Ranieri stated, “I’m pleased to have Dybala and utilize him when he’s fit. However, if his priorities change, both parties must come to an agreement. If he doesn’t wish to stay, there’s a possibility for departure. I only want players who are content here.”
Despite these comments, Ranieri emphasized that he hasn’t perceived any desire from Dybala to leave Roma. The manager also addressed broader speculation about potential squad changes in January, saying, “We’ll remain vigilant, bringing in players who can enhance our current squad. I’m seeking individuals who will improve the team; otherwise, we’re satisfied with our current roster.”
Dybala has contributed two goals and one assist in 18 appearances across all competitions for Roma this season. As the January transfer window approaches, his future at the club remains a topic of keen interest for supporters and pundits alike.
