PSG’s Kolo Muani Excluded from Squad for Lyon Match
French national team forward Randal Kolo Muani, 26, has been left out of Paris Saint-Germain’s squad for their upcoming Ligue 1 home fixture against Olympique Lyonnais. Manager Luis Enrique’s decision raises questions about the striker’s €90 million transfer from Eintracht Frankfurt, as Kolo Muani has struggled to establish himself in the French capital.
Despite limited playing time, the former Nantes player has managed to score twice and provide one assist this season. However, it appears that the Spanish coach has lost patience with the French international, who won’t even be on the bench for tonight’s match at the Parc des Princes.
PSG’s recent form in Ligue 1 has been inconsistent, with the team drawing their last two matches against Nantes and Auxerre. Despite this, Luis Enrique has chosen to omit Kolo Muani from the squad facing Lyon, currently the most in-form team in the league with four consecutive victories in both domestic and Europa League competitions.
Kolo Muani is not the only experienced player left out by Enrique. Veteran defenders Milan Skriniar (29) and Presnel Kimpembe (29) have also been excluded from tonight’s lineup against Pierre Sage’s team.
