PSG Stages Dramatic Comeback to Defeat Manchester City 4-2
Paris Saint-Germain breathed new life into their Champions League campaign with a thrilling 4-2 comeback victory over Manchester City at the Parc des Princes. Despite falling behind 2-0 early in the second half, PSG rallied to score four unanswered goals and secure a crucial win.
The first half saw PSG dominate possession but struggle to create clear chances without a traditional striker. City took the lead shortly after halftime through Jack Grealish, with Erling Haaland doubling their advantage minutes later.
However, the introduction of Ousmane Dembélé at halftime sparked PSG’s revival. The French winger quickly pulled a goal back, before Bradley Barcola equalized on the hour mark. João Neves then completed the turnaround with a powerful header from a Vitinha free-kick. Gonçalo Ramos added a fourth in stoppage time to seal an emphatic victory.
The win puts PSG back in contention to qualify for the knockout stages ahead of next week’s crucial match against Stuttgart. More importantly, it could prove to be a defining performance for Luis Enrique’s young team as they continue to evolve in the post-Mbappé era.
João Neves was the standout performer for PSG, controlling the midfield and capping an excellent display with the winning goal. Bradley Barcola and Ousmane Dembélé also impressed, while Vitinha played a key role in nullifying Kevin De Bruyne’s influence.
For Manchester City, the collapse will raise questions about their ability to close out matches at the highest level. Pep Guardiola’s side looked in control at 2-0 up but were ultimately overwhelmed by PSG’s second-half surge.
