Players Enter the Field with Dogs in Verona-Milan Match

The upcoming Verona-Milan match will feature a heartwarming initiative. On Friday, December 20, during the 17th round of Serie A, both teams will enter the field accompanied by seven puppies. The team captains and five other players from each side will participate in this unique pre-match ceremony.

This initiative was strongly supported by Verona’s President Maurizio Setti, his partner Patrizia, and the entire club. Organized in collaboration with the Municipality of Verona and ENPA Verona (National Animal Protection Agency), the event aims to raise awareness about animal adoption. The seven puppies will be temporarily adopted by the club until they find permanent homes.

The puppies, consisting of two males and five females, have been given names that reflect the local culture and team spirit: Zeno, Mastino, Olimpia, Arena, Bra, Hellas, and Verona. As an added incentive, the future owners of these puppies will receive club merchandise.

This touching gesture not only promotes a worthy cause but also adds a unique and memorable element to the pre-match proceedings, highlighting the importance of animal welfare in the community.
