Newcastle United Stands Firm on Tonali Amid Juventus Interest

According to recent reports, Newcastle United has made it clear they have no intention of selling midfielder Sandro Tonali during the January transfer window, despite growing interest from Juventus.

The Premier League club has set a high valuation for the Italian international, with sources suggesting any potential suitors would need to offer more than €60 million to even begin negotiations. This stance effectively rules out a quick move for Tonali, who has become an integral part of Newcastle’s squad since his arrival.

Juventus had reportedly been considering offloading young talent Kenan Yildiz to raise funds for a Tonali bid. However, Newcastle’s firm position on retaining the player seems to have halted these plans for now.

Tonali’s importance to Newcastle has been underscored by his recent performances, including a notable brace in the EFL Cup that helped secure the team’s place in the semi-finals. With two goals and two assists in 17 appearances across all competitions this season, the 24-year-old has quickly become a fan favorite at St. James’ Park.

The player’s agent has also publicly stated that Tonali is not considering a return to Serie A, further cementing his commitment to Newcastle. As the January window approaches, it appears increasingly likely that Tonali will remain a key figure in Newcastle’s midfield for the foreseeable future.
