Napoli eyes Pellegrini swap deal involving Raspadori
Napoli is reportedly considering including striker Giacomo Raspadori in a potential swap deal to acquire Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini. New Napoli coach Antonio Conte is said to have identified Pellegrini as a key target to bolster the team’s midfield.
Raspadori has drawn interest from several clubs, including Juventus, Atalanta and Marseille, as he seeks more playing time. Roma has also expressed interest in the Italian forward, which Napoli could leverage in negotiations for Pellegrini.
The departure of Michael Folorunsho, who is linked with a move to Fiorentina, could create space in Napoli’s squad for Pellegrini. However, the Roma captain’s €6 million annual salary may be an obstacle, potentially requiring him to reduce his wage demands to facilitate a move.
If a deal with Roma cannot be reached, Napoli may explore including Raspadori in a separate swap with Juventus involving Danilo and Nicolò Fagioli moving in the opposite direction.
Pellegrini’s creative abilities make him an appealing target for Conte as he looks to reshape Napoli’s midfield. However, the high costs involved mean any potential deal would likely require compromises from all parties to come to fruition.
