Naby Keita Joins Ferencvaros on Loan from Werder Bremen

Hungarian football club Ferencvaros has announced the acquisition of Werder Bremen midfielder Naby Keita on a loan deal. The agreement is set to commence in January 2025 and will last for one year.

The 29-year-old Guinean player’s current contract with the German club is due to expire in the summer of 2026. This loan move comes after Keita faced challenges at Werder Bremen, including being suspended from training in August.

During the 2023/24 season, Keita made only five appearances for Werder Bremen without registering any goals or assists. This loan transfer to Ferencvaros presents an opportunity for the midfielder to revitalize his career and gain more playing time.
