Mourinho Expresses Interest in Nico Williams for Real Madrid

In a surprising turn of events, Jose Mourinho has expressed his admiration for Athletic Bilbao’s young star Nico Williams, hinting at a potential future transfer to Real Madrid. The former Real Madrid manager made these comments ahead of Fenerbahce’s UEFA Europa League clash with Athletic Bilbao.

Mourinho praised Williams, stating, “Nico is unique. The boy is wonderful. People were focused on Lamine Yamal during the Euros, who is obviously another marvelous youngster, but I personally prefer Nico. He’s a fantastic player. I hope he ends up in white.” These remarks have fueled speculation about Williams’ potential move to the Spanish capital.

In response to Mourinho’s comments, Athletic Bilbao’s manager Ernesto Valverde simply stated, “We want him at Athletic.”
