Monza Explores Potential Deals for Inter’s Correa and Arnautovic
Monza, under the leadership of CEO Adriano Galliani, is making ambitious moves in the transfer market. The club, currently struggling in the lower ranks of the league table, is actively seeking to strengthen its squad. Recent developments indicate that Monza has reached out to Inter Milan regarding two of their forwards: Joaquin Correa and Marko Arnautovic.
Galliani and Inter’s CEO Marotta share a long-standing friendship, which has facilitated numerous dealings between the two clubs. While Inter has shown interest in Monza’s Daniel Maldini, the Brianza-based club has reciprocated by inquiring about Inter’s surplus attacking options.
Both Correa and Arnautovic have contracts with Inter until June 30, 2025. Monza is considering the possibility of signing at least one of them six months before their contract expiration. However, the potential transfers face significant hurdles. Neither player is currently at zero impact on Inter’s balance sheet, meaning Monza would need to make a financial offer to avoid Inter incurring a loss. Additionally, the high salaries of both players, around 3.5 million euros, pose a challenge for Monza’s budget.
Despite these obstacles, Monza’s interest in bolstering their attack with experienced Serie A players remains evident. The coming weeks will reveal whether these exploratory talks can develop into concrete negotiations.
