Monaco’s Lineup Challenges Ahead of Crucial PSG Clash

AS Monaco are grappling with several player absences as they prepare to host Paris Saint-Germain at the Stade Louis II. The match holds significant importance, as a PSG victory would extend their lead at the top of the table to 10 points, potentially creating an insurmountable gap even at this early stage of the season.

The home team will be without goalkeeper Radoslaw Majecki, defenders Christian Mawissa and Krépin Diatta, forwards Folarin Balogun and Mamadou Coulibaly, as well as midfielder Edan Diop. Additionally, there is uncertainty surrounding the availability of captain Denis Zakaria. The Swiss midfielder has been sidelined for the past three matches due to a hamstring issue.

However, there is a possibility of Zakaria’s return, with manager Adi Hütter stating that a decision on his participation will be made on the eve of the match. Should Zakaria be unable to start, the team may opt to shift Aleksandr Golovin to a deeper midfield role or introduce Soungoutou Magassa to partner with Lamine Camara in central midfield.

Probable Monaco Starting Lineup

Philipp Köhn; Caio Henrique, Thilo Kehrer, Wilfried Singo, Vanderson; Lamine Camara, Denis Zakaria; Eliesse Ben Seghir, Aleksandr Golovin, Maghnes Akliouche; Breel Embolo.
