Marseille Considers Loaning Out Lilian Brassier
Olympique de Marseille is reportedly in talks to potentially loan out defender Lilian Brassier in the upcoming transfer window. The 25-year-old center-back, who joined Marseille just this summer from Stade Brestois, has struggled to adapt to his new environment.
Brassier’s performances for Marseille have been underwhelming, particularly in a 3-1 home loss to AJ Auxerre in November. He made a critical error leading to the first goal and was subsequently booed by home fans when substituted.
Since that match, Brassier has not started for manager Roberto De Zerbi. There are now doubts within the Marseille organization about whether Brassier possesses the mental fortitude required to handle the intense pressure associated with playing for such a high-profile club.
As a result, Marseille is exploring the possibility of loaning out Brassier with an option to buy. This would give the player an opportunity to regain his confidence and form in a less demanding environment.
