Manchester United Target Kolo Muani Sidelined Again by PSG
Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique has once again left French international Randal Kolo Muani out of the squad, this time for the crucial match against AS Monaco. This decision follows Kolo Muani’s absence from the team that defeated Olympique Lyonnais last weekend.
Despite Enrique’s assertion that any player can improve their standing at the club, the outlook appears grim for the 26-year-old forward. As the January transfer window approaches, both Manchester United and AS Monaco have expressed interest in Kolo Muani. Monaco, in particular, is seeking a temporary replacement for the injured Folarin Balogun, although their manager Adi Hütter acknowledged that Kolo Muani is not the most economical option.
The repeated exclusion of Kolo Muani from PSG’s squad suggests he no longer fits into the team’s plans. A victory for PSG in this final Ligue 1 match of 2024 would extend their lead at the top of the table to 10 points.
In addition to Kolo Muani, Nuno Mendes, who sustained a thigh injury during the Lyon match, and Presnel Kimpembe are also absent from the squad traveling to Monaco’s Stade Louis II.
