Manchester United Considers Nico Williams as Potential Rashford Replacement
Manchester United’s management is reportedly considering Athletic Bilbao’s forward Nico Williams as a potential replacement for Marcus Rashford. Sources suggest that Rashford has been informed of a possible transfer in the January window, should a suitable offer arrive.
The Red Devils are said to have already made a significant proposal to the Spanish player. However, Manchester United isn’t the only club interested in Williams, with Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain also reportedly in the running.
At 22 years old, Nico Williams is a product of Athletic Bilbao’s youth academy and has been a regular in the first team since the summer of 2021. In the current season, he has participated in 22 matches across all competitions, scoring two goals and providing five assists.
Williams has already tasted success on both the international and club stages. He is a European champion with the Spanish national team and has won the Spanish Cup with Athletic Bilbao.
According to Transfermarkt, the Spanish forward’s current market value is estimated at 70 million euros.
