Manchester City Sets Sights on Musiala
Manchester City is currently facing a severe sporting crisis, having won only one of their last 13 matches. This, coupled with a pending judgment from the Premier League, has left the club in a precarious position. Adding to their woes, there are concerns that some of their key players, including Kevin De Bruyne, may leave Manchester.
In light of these potential departures, the British club has reportedly begun to scout for possible replacements. According to ‘CaughtOffside’, one name that has emerged as a potential successor to Kevin De Bruyne is Jamal Musiala.
Musiala, a rising star for both Bayern Munich and the German national team, recently spoke to Sport Bild about his future, creating speculation among Bayern fans. He stated, “Unfortunately, I can’t give the fans a Christmas present. There won’t be any news in the near future.” He added, “We’ve played many games lately and traveled a lot. My goal is to focus on the matches. I want to feel free on the field, even though there’s a lot of pressure from outside.”
Despite the uncertainty, Musiala expressed his desire to make his mark at Bayern: “In general, all the parameters that influence this big decision have to be right for me. I want to leave my mark on an era at Bayern. If I renew my contract with Bayern, that’s my ambition and my goal. We have to work to achieve victories, titles, and important trophies. That’s how you earn that prestige: I want to earn it at Bayern.”
Musiala’s contract with Bayern Munich runs until 2026, which means he could become an attractive transfer target in the upcoming market. In this context, Manchester City sees the German-born, British-raised player as an ideal replacement for Kevin De Bruyne.
