Manchester City Preparing £66 Million Bid for “Amazing” Priority Target
According to reports, Manchester City is getting ready to make a £66 million offer for West Ham United’s Mohammed Kudus. The Ghana international has become a priority target for City manager Pep Guardiola as he looks to bolster his squad during a difficult period.
City have been struggling recently, winning just one of their last 12 matches across all competitions. Their poor form continued with a 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa on Saturday, their third consecutive loss. Former City goalkeeper Shay Given criticized the team’s performance, saying they were “miles off it” both physically and tactically against Villa.
With the January transfer window approaching, Guardiola is eager to bring in reinforcements. Kudus has caught City’s eye with his impressive displays for West Ham this season. The versatile 24-year-old can play as an attacking midfielder, winger or forward.
While West Ham are reluctant to sell Kudus, a huge offer from City could prove difficult to turn down. The Ghana international has proven himself in the Premier League and would provide City with additional attacking options as they look to get their season back on track.
Kudus is known for his excellent dribbling ability, ranking in the 99th percentile for successful take-ons compared to other players in his position. He contributed 14 goals and assists in the league last season.
With City struggling for creativity and goals lately, Kudus could inject some much-needed flair into their attack. However, it remains to be seen if City will follow through with a formal bid and if West Ham would be willing to part with one of their star players mid-season.
