Juventus Weighs Yildiz Sale to Finance Tonali Acquisition as Newcastle Names Price
Juventus is reportedly considering a January move for Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali, with the English club setting a €55 million asking price. To fund this potential transfer, the Italian giants may look to sell some of their own players, including promising youngster Kenan Yildiz.
According to Italian media reports, Juventus directors recently discussed Tonali’s potential acquisition during a meeting. The Bianconeri are keen to strengthen their midfield but would need to generate significant funds to meet Newcastle’s valuation.
While it’s known that Juventus is open to offers for Nicolò Fagioli, the club is now also contemplating the sale of Yildiz. The 19-year-old Turkish talent has caught the eye of several European clubs, and his sale could bring in an estimated €35-40 million. This would represent a substantial profit for Juventus, as Yildiz is a product of their youth academy.
In addition to midfield reinforcements, Juventus is also in the market for a new center-back. The club’s directors have reportedly had serious discussions about Paris Saint-Germain defender Milan Skriniar as a potential January target.
As Juventus explores these transfer possibilities, they must balance their desire for new signings with the need to maintain financial stability and preserve young talent. The potential sale of Yildiz, while lucrative, would mean parting with a promising homegrown player.
