Juventus Eyes Tomori as Milan Defender Considers January Move
According to reports from Tuttosport, Juventus has set its sights on AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori as a potential January transfer target. The English center-back has found himself out of favor at Milan in recent months, sparking speculation about his future with the club.
Tomori’s relationship with Milan coach Paulo Fonseca reportedly soured following a crucial match against Fiorentina in October. The defender’s decision to pass to Tammy Abraham instead of Christian Pulisic during a penalty situation led to a missed opportunity and apparent frustration from the coach.
Since that incident, Tomori has been relegated to the bench for six of Milan’s last seven Serie A fixtures. This lack of playing time has fueled rumors that the player may be seeking an exit when the transfer window opens in January.
Juventus, always on the lookout for defensive reinforcements, appears interested in securing Tomori on a loan deal. However, it remains uncertain whether Milan would be willing to strengthen a direct rival, especially after allowing Pierre Kalulu to make a similar move to Juventus last summer.
The Turin-based club is also considering other defensive options, with David Hancko of Feyenoord emerging as a primary target for the summer. For more immediate reinforcements, Juventus is reportedly eyeing Johan Vásquez from Genoa and Adrian Ismajli from Empoli as potential January acquisitions.
As the transfer window approaches, all eyes will be on Milan to see how they handle Tomori’s situation and whether they’ll entertain offers from domestic rivals like Juventus.
