Juventus Coach Motta Prioritizes Monza Match Over Transfer Talk
Juventus head coach Thiago Motta has made it clear that his primary focus is on the upcoming match against Monza, rather than potential January transfer window activities. During a pre-match press conference, Motta addressed questions about possible new signings, stating, “We are in complete alignment with the club and our thoughts are entirely on the Monza game. When the transfer window opens, it’s not about receiving gifts.”
When asked about Nicolò Fagioli’s status for the match, Motta kept his response brief, saying, “He will be available tomorrow. We’ll decide if he starts or contributes from the bench during the game.”
Motta also revealed that six players would be unavailable for the Monza fixture, with Andrea Cambiaso’s participation to be determined closer to kickoff. Despite being the only undefeated team in Serie A this season, Juventus has drawn 10 of their first 16 matches.
The coach’s comments reflect a determination to maintain focus on immediate competitive challenges rather than becoming distracted by transfer speculation. As Juventus aims to improve their standing in the league, Motta’s approach emphasizes the importance of the team’s current resources and upcoming opponents.
