Jérémie Boga Faces Extended Injury Layoff
OGC Nice’s Jérémie Boga, the 27-year-old Ivory Coast winger, is set for a prolonged absence from the pitch due to injury. Manager Franck Haise has confirmed the severity of the situation, describing it as a “severe” muscle injury that could sideline Boga for several months.
While the exact duration remains unspecified, French sports daily L’Équipe suggests a recovery period of three to four months. The publication identifies the injury as damage to the quadriceps in Boga’s right thigh. This setback comes after Boga had already missed the opening matches of the Ligue 1 season.
The injury deals another blow to Nice, who have been grappling with an injury crisis throughout the campaign. In Boga’s absence, the team may look to Evann Guessand or Sofiane Diop to fill the void on the left wing. Prior to this injury, Boga had made 13 appearances for Les Aiglons this season, contributing two goals and one assist.
