Inter’s Medical Update: Positive News for Barella and Dimarco
Inter Milan received encouraging news regarding the condition of two key players, Nicolò Barella and Federico Dimarco, following their 6-0 victory over Lazio in Serie A. As the team prepares for their Coppa Italia round of 16 match against Udinese, concerns about the players’ fitness have been largely alleviated.
Both Barella and Dimarco were instrumental in the win against Lazio, each scoring a goal. However, they were substituted in the second half due to thigh muscle issues, raising concerns about their availability for upcoming fixtures.
For Dimarco, the situation appears less serious than initially feared. The Italian full-back experienced cramps during a defensive sprint, but has since participated in normal recovery training with his teammates at Appiano Gentile.
Barella’s case is similarly positive. The midfielder’s early substitution seems to have prevented any serious injury. Although he is still experiencing some fatigue, he has not undergone detailed medical examinations. As a precautionary measure, manager Simone Inzaghi is unlikely to risk playing Barella in the upcoming Coppa Italia match.
These updates come as a relief to Inter, who are looking to maintain their strong form in both domestic and cup competitions. The team’s medical staff will continue to monitor both players’ conditions closely in the coming days.
