Inter Targets Nico Paz as Real Madrid Considers Activating Buyback Clause
According to reports, Inter Milan has expressed interest in Argentine midfielder Nico Paz, who is currently impressing at Como. However, Real Madrid is poised to exercise their €12 million buyback option to bring the talented 20-year-old back to the Bernabeu this summer.
Paz has quickly established himself as a key player for Como under manager Cesc Fabregas. His performances have caught the eye of Inter’s sporting director, with vice-president Javier Zanetti personally scouting the player during a recent Serie A match against Roma.
Zanetti, who played alongside Paz’s father for Argentina in the 1998 World Cup, recently reconnected with the family at an event in Milan. This meeting, also attended by Inter director Piero Ausilio, has fueled speculation about the club’s interest in the young midfielder.
Despite Inter’s interest, Real Madrid appears intent on reacquiring Paz. However, with an already crowded midfield featuring stars like Jude Bellingham, Brahim Diaz, Arda Guler, and Endrick, there’s a possibility Paz could be made available for transfer again next summer.
Inter will have a chance to see Paz up close when Como visits San Siro for their upcoming Serie A clash. The match could provide further insight into the Nerazzurri’s plans for the promising Argentine talent.
