Ibrahimovic’s Heartfelt Speech at AC Milan’s 125th Anniversary

At AC Milan’s 125th anniversary gala, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, now a Senior Advisor for RedBird, expressed his profound connection to the club. “AC Milan holds a very special place in my heart,” Ibrahimovic stated. “I’m incredibly honored to be here among so much history, surrounded by players and staff who have contributed to the club’s legacy.”

Ibrahimovic reflected on his time with the team, saying, “I’ve been fortunate to play for Milan and win trophies, though I’m aware that many in this room have achieved even more.” He added, “Being part of the Milan family fills me with pride and emotion. It truly feels like a big family, and I’m grateful to be considered a part of it.”

The celebration at San Siro Stadium was a spectacular affair, with 70,000 fans in attendance to honor the club’s illustrious history. The event kicked off with a special ceremony inducting Marco van Basten, Filippo Inzaghi, and Andriy Shevchenko into AC Milan’s Hall of Fame, joining Honorary Vice President Franco Baresi.

A parade of Milan legends took to the field around 8:30 PM, featuring iconic players such as Ruud Gullit, Andrea Pirlo, Clarence Seedorf, and many others. The evening was filled with choreographed displays, light shows, and a commemorative video highlighting the club’s 125-year journey. The passionate Curva Sud fan section displayed a banner reading, “December 16, 1899 – Our great love for 125 years.”
