Genoa’s New Owners Commit to Ferraris Stadium Investment
The renovation of the Luigi Ferraris stadium is set to be a top priority for Genoa’s new ownership. Just days after the official announcement of the club’s transfer from 777 Partners to Dan Sucu, Genoa city officials have expressed confidence that the new management will take on the task of refurbishing the Marassi facility.
Acting Mayor Pietro Piciocchi stated, “We have received assurances that the new ownership wants to continue the path we have begun.” For the City of Genoa, which owns the Ferraris stadium, modernizing the venue has long been a crucial aspect of the city’s future plans.
Piciocchi emphasized, “The stadium absolutely needs to be renovated and, most importantly, it must serve as a catalyst for the regeneration of the Marassi area.” This commitment underscores the significance of the project not only for the football club but also for the broader community.
As Genoa’s new era begins, fans and residents alike can look forward to potential improvements that will enhance both the matchday experience and the surrounding neighborhood.
