Charles De Ketelaere has been in exceptional form for Atalanta this season, contributing to 19 goals in 24 appearances across all competitions. According to reports, Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini believes the Belgian star will soon be playing for a top club in La Liga or the Premier League.

De Ketelaere’s outstanding performances continue to impress, with his recent brace against Empoli helping Atalanta secure a 3-2 home victory and maintain their position at the top of the Serie A table.

The 23-year-old is in his second season with Atalanta, having made his loan move from Milan permanent last summer following a successful debut season at the Gewiss Stadium. The Belgium international has now amassed an impressive tally of 24 goals and 20 assists in 74 appearances for La Dea.

Journalist Paolo Condò reports in Repubblica newspaper that Gasperini is convinced De Ketelaere will be playing for a club of Liverpool or Real Madrid’s caliber within two years.

Atalanta’s investment in De Ketelaere has proven to be a shrewd one, having paid just €3 million for his initial loan in 2023 and an additional €22 million to make the transfer permanent. This success is particularly noteworthy given the player’s struggles during his single season at Milan, where he managed only one assist in 40 appearances across all competitions.
