Galliani Reflects on Milan’s Legacy, Prioritizes Monza Responsibilities
Adriano Galliani, the former long-serving CEO of AC Milan and current Monza executive, shared his thoughts before Milan’s 125th-anniversary celebration.
Reflecting on his time at Milan, Galliani remarked, “When I consider that President Berlusconi won 29 of Milan’s 49 total trophies in its 125-year history, I feel nostalgic. What we achieved during those years was truly remarkable and wonderful.”
When asked about Milan’s current challenges, Galliani diplomatically responded, “Excuse me, but I’m focused on Monza now. While 31 years at Milan can’t be forgotten and the club remains dear to me, I’m a Monza executive now. I have enough concerns here without discussing Milan’s situation.”
Regarding the anniversary event, Galliani expressed enthusiasm: “Of course I’m pleased to be here. I’ve spoken with players from our era and current squad members. How can one forget 31 years? It’s almost a full career.”
On the presence of Milan legends like Gullit, Van Basten, and Inzaghi, Galliani simply stated, “31 years of life, it’s marvelous.”
