Galatasaray in Negotiations for PSG Defender Milan Škriniar

Turkish powerhouse Galatasaray is reportedly in serious discussions with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) regarding a potential loan move for defender Milan Škriniar. The 29-year-old Slovak international has struggled to secure regular playing time at the French club this season.

Škriniar has found himself on the fringes of Luis Enrique’s squad, with the PSG manager preferring other defensive options. The center-back has only featured in five matches across all competitions this season, totaling a mere 381 minutes on the pitch. Notably, he has yet to make an appearance in the UEFA Champions League for the Parisian club.

Despite initially being determined to succeed at PSG following his summer transfer, Škriniar is now open to exploring other opportunities. The defender’s change of heart comes as he faces stiff competition for playing time, with Marquinhos, Willian Pacho, Presnel Kimpembe, Lucas Hernandez, and Lucas Beraldo all vying for spots in PSG’s backline.

Sources close to the situation suggest that there is a strong possibility of Škriniar departing PSG during the January transfer window. Galatasaray has emerged as a frontrunner for his signature, with the Turkish club engaged in promising negotiations for a loan deal. The player is reportedly receptive to the idea of joining Galatasaray next month, potentially revitalizing his career with regular playing time in the Turkish Süper Lig.
