Gafin Discusses Zakharyan’s Potential Return to Dynamo
Dmitry Gafin, chairman of Dynamo Moscow’s board of directors, has shared his thoughts on the possibility of midfielder Arsen Zakharyan returning to the club on loan from Real Sociedad.
“Currently, Zakharyan’s primary goal is to get back on the field and earn his first minutes of playing time with Real Sociedad this season,” Gafin stated. “However, should circumstances change, we would always welcome Arsen back. He knows that Dynamo is his home.”
The 21-year-old Russian midfielder transferred from Dynamo to Real Sociedad in the summer of 2023. Since his move, Zakharyan has scored one goal and provided two assists in 40 appearances for the Spanish club.
On August 6, 2024, the player underwent ankle surgery and was able to return to team training on October 17. His recovery and potential playing time at Real Sociedad will likely influence any decisions regarding a possible loan move back to Dynamo.
