Fiorentina Considers Tudor as Potential Replacement for Palladino
According to reports from Corriere dello Sport Stadio, Fiorentina has initiated informal discussions with Igor Tudor as a possible replacement for current manager Raffaele Palladino. The club may consider dismissing Palladino if Fiorentina suffers a defeat against Torino in their upcoming home match on Sunday.
The local Florence newspaper suggests that growing tensions between Palladino and sporting director Daniele Pradé could lead to an unexpected decision if the team’s poor run of form continues. Fiorentina has managed to secure only one point from their last five matches, following an impressive streak of eight consecutive victories in Serie A – the longest in the club’s history.
Despite their recent struggles, the Viola remain in contention for a top-four finish, currently sitting just four points behind Lazio with a game in hand. However, Pradé expressed strong criticism of the team’s performance following their recent 2-1 loss to struggling Monza.
“This situation is unacceptable,” Pradé stated. “With ten days left in the transfer window, any players who are not fully committed should come forward. We will find a solution. We need to rediscover our identity and humility. We’ve tried to explain our recent form, but now it’s time for action.”
As pressure mounts on Palladino, the club’s reported interest in Tudor suggests they are exploring contingency plans should a change in management become necessary. The coming weeks could prove crucial in determining the future direction of Fiorentina’s season and coaching staff.
