Dybala and Saelemaekers Lead Roma to Emphatic 5-0 Win
Paulo Dybala and Alexis Saelemaekers delivered outstanding performances as AS Roma crushed Parma 5-0 in a Serie A match. Dybala, who scored twice, reaffirmed his dedication to the club amid transfer speculation.
“From day one, when I saw the fans at the Colosseum, I knew it was a special welcome,” Dybala stated post-match. “I always strive to give my all for this jersey and to repay the supporters’ faith.”
The Argentine forward chose not to address rumors linking him with Galatasaray, focusing instead on Roma’s upcoming fixtures. “We’re always prepared for big games. They bring out something extra in terms of mentality. We’ll concentrate on Milan first, then the derby,” Dybala added, referring to Roma’s next matches against AC Milan and city rivals Lazio.
Saelemaekers, who also found the net and won a penalty, expressed satisfaction with his role on the right side of midfield. “I feel great, but the most important thing was securing the three points,” the Belgian said. “We needed to prove that our performance against Como wasn’t the real Roma. I’m ready to play wherever the coach needs me and make the most of my opportunities.”
The convincing victory comes as a welcome boost for Roma following their recent 2-0 loss to Como. With crucial matches on the horizon, including the Milan clash on December 29 and the Rome derby to kick off 2025, the team appears to be regaining form at a critical juncture in the season.
