Collovati: Juventus’ Performance at Its Lowest in 15 Years
Fulvio Collovati, a former defender for the 1982 World Cup-winning Italian national team and current TV commentator, shared his thoughts on Juventus’ current state during a sports show. He expressed strong criticism, stating, “The current Juventus team is performing at its worst level in the past 15 years.”
Collovati elaborated on the team’s shortcomings, pointing out issues with their gameplay. He noted, “Their style has regressed, they rarely take shots on goal, and their pace is sluggish. Possession means little when the ball is constantly moved horizontally instead of vertically to threaten the opposition. Moreover, they concede goals far too easily.”
The former player also commented on individual performances and tactical decisions. He mentioned that players like Yildiz and Koopmeiners are not being utilized in their natural positions. Collovati also noted that despite being among the best performers in recent matches, Locatelli and Conceicao were left on the bench.
Regarding the criticism of striker Vlahovic, Collovati defended the player, stating, “While fans have the right to express disappointment, they shouldn’t pass judgment. If Vlahovic has been insulted, I stand with him.”
