Chelsea Should Target £67m Haaland-like Striker Instead of Osimhen

Chelsea have been linked with strikers to bolster their attack, with Victor Osimhen frequently mentioned as a target. However, the club should instead focus on signing Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic.

The 24-year-old Serbian has been in excellent form this season, scoring 12 goals in 21 appearances across all competitions. His performances have drawn comparisons to Manchester City star Erling Haaland.

While Osimhen has impressed at Napoli, Vlahovic could be available for around £67 million and offers a similar skill set to Haaland. He has registered more progressive passes and carries per 90 minutes than the Norwegian this season, suggesting he could fit well into Chelsea’s possession-based system.

Vlahovic also provides a strong aerial presence, winning more headers per game than Haaland with a higher success rate. This target man ability is something Chelsea have lacked up front.

Though £67 million is a significant fee, Vlahovic’s goalscoring record and all-round game make him an ideal fit for Chelsea. His signing could give the Blues the elite striker they need to compete at the top of the Premier League once again.
