Carlo Ancelotti Comments on Real Madrid’s Recent Performances
Real Madrid’s head coach Carlo Ancelotti has shared his thoughts on the team’s recent results and performances.
On December 22, Madrid secured a 4-2 home victory against Sevilla in the 18th round of La Liga. Reflecting on the team’s journey, Ancelotti stated, “We hit rock bottom after the loss to Milan on November 5 in the Champions League (1-3). Following that game, we had a very focused discussion. We all agreed on the issue at hand, and we managed to bounce back.”
Commenting on Kylian Mbappe’s statement about reaching his lowest point in the match against Athletic Bilbao, Ancelotti praised the player’s self-criticism: “His self-awareness allowed him to overcome the challenges. After the Sevilla match, I told him his adaptation period was over. He proved that sometimes I can be right,” Ancelotti added with a smile.
Since their 2-1 defeat to Athletic Bilbao on December 4, Real Madrid has won four matches and drawn one. Mbappe has participated in four out of these five games, scoring four goals and providing two assists, demonstrating his improved form and integration into the team.
