Inter Milan’s midfield star Hakan Calhanoglu has shed light on his interaction with Bayern Munich following the German club’s interest in acquiring him during the summer 2024 transfer window.

The Turkish international has become a crucial player for Inter under Simone Inzaghi’s management, attracting attention from several top European clubs in the transfer market.

Calhanoglu’s Message to Bayern Munich

Despite his respect for Bayern Munich, Calhanoglu instructed the Bavarian giants to “communicate with Inter, not me,” choosing to honor his commitment to his current club.

Calhanoglu was representing his national team at EURO 2024 when Bayern approached Inter. He later revealed that his agent withheld information about potential transfer discussions until after the tournament concluded.

In a recent interview, Calhanoglu stated, “The European Championships were ongoing, and my agent didn’t disclose anything until they were over. When he finally called to inform me about these options, I immediately halted the conversation and told him to ‘speak with Inter, not me. I will only follow their wishes.'”
