Bayern Munich Female Goalkeeper Successfully Completes Cancer Treatment

Bayern Munich’s women’s team goalkeeper Mala Grohs has successfully completed her cancer treatment, as reported by the Munich club.

Grohs stated that after a tumultuous period and a long wait, she underwent surgery two weeks ago. “The operation was successful. Now it’s time for a vacation – everyone needs rest. Then we’ll be together again,” Grohs wrote on her social media accounts.

At 23 years old, Grohs joined Bayern Munich in 2019 and made her debut for the club in 2021. Since then, she has played 81 matches for the team, winning the German championship three times and securing the German Super Cup.

In October, Grohs was diagnosed with a malignant tumor. Following this news, Bayern Munich extended her contract until 2026, showing their support for the player during her treatment.

The successful completion of her cancer treatment marks a significant milestone in Grohs’ recovery and potential return to professional football.
