Barcelona Gets Approval to Register Olmo and Pau Victor
Barcelona has successfully addressed its financial fair play concerns and obtained approval from La Liga to register midfielder Dani Olmo and forward Pau Victor for the remainder of the season, according to RAC1. The Catalan club is now awaiting a response from the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).
Previous reports indicated that both La Liga and RFEF had initially denied Barcelona’s request. The courts had twice rejected the club’s attempts to register players for the second half of the season. On January 1st, Barcelona submitted a new license application for Olmo and Victor to the RFEF.
Olmo joined Barcelona in August of last year and was only registered for the first half of the 2024/25 season. His contract includes a clause allowing him to leave the club for free if not registered in January.
In the 2024/25 season, Olmo has scored 6 goals and provided 1 assist in 15 matches across all competitions.
